Who doesn’t like saving a little time? Lets face it, we wouldn’t be using Macs if we wanted to fiddle around with daily tasks all the time. Bookmarks are one of the easiest things you can use to save yourself not only time, but some needless hassle. Usually in my classes this is a big hit so lets go ahead and dive right in!
If you’re like me, you probably have a slew of websites you frequently visit. I’ve got an evening routine. I can’t be bothered to type out entire website addresses w-w-w-dot-cee-bee-cee-dot-c-a. Its just not happening! Bookmarks allow us to easily add a website address on its own, or in a folder of bookmarks to the top of our web browser.
If we open up Safari, along the top we can see a bunch of pre existing bookmarks.
If we right click on them we can easily delete them and create our own. The simplest way to create our own is to visit the desired website and drag the website icon directly to the bookmarks bar.
If you visit multiple websites like myself, you can create a folder of your favorites and open them all simultaneously in “tabs”. To add sites to a folder, perform the same action except drag your website icon over your folder. Its that simple!
There we have it! Even just one minute saved per day 365 days per year adds up! Feel free to come in to the store and thank me in person with all of extra time you now have on your hands!
